If the claim by The Washington Post is true then we must come to a conclusion that the Quantum Computer may exist, and thus the Marianas Web can also exist.
Layer 6, 7 & 8 are still in the theory till now.

So, what is Marianas Web? Does it really exist? Or is it a myth? Why is this considered to be the most mysterious part of the Internet? Let's Have a look.

- Surface Web (Layer 1): Anything that can be Indexed by search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing etc and can be accessed using common browsers.
- Deep Web (Roughly Layer 2 and 3): The contents are not indexed and are not available at conventional search engines. Restricted usage for authorized person using a specific device, network, and software.
The contents of level 2 (proxy layer) are not indexed and available to find because the content is blocked by local law/search engine guidelines or private servers. As the name suggests a proxy server can help to access these content to some extent.
Level 3 can further be split into two sections. First one is the one not having a .onion extension/domain and is not indexed. A proxy can help to reach this part. While the second one is the Tor level from where the true dark web starts and has .onion extension/domain.
- Dark Web or Charter Web (Roughly Layer 4): The Black Market of the World-Wide-web. Specially designed and operated for illegal activities like drug dealing, hacking, child pornography, hidden experiments etc. This intentionally hidden arena is not available to surf through common browsers. Special networking technology and browsers ( Like Tor, Freenet etc) are used to surf.

'Beneath' all of the sections mentioned so far, another special one is said to be existing. Its existence is not 'confirmed' by anyone and it remains as The most mysterious part of the World Wide Web. Yes, I am referring to The Marianas Web now.
Marianas Web (Roughly Layer 5) is assumed to be named after The Mariana Trench, which is the deepest and darkest part of the Oceans. It is because the Marianas Web is the 'deepest and darkest' part of the World Wide Web.
What is Marianas Web: Marianas web is to some extent a special variation of the Dark Web. In general, the Dark Web can be accessed by anyone who knows the web address of the site and is using the specific network and software tools. But in Marianas Web, the user must have special authorization to access a site or content, along with differentiated network and specially designed software and hardware tools. Means, in this case, an extra layer of security is imposed so that any person who has the web address can not access the content just using the darknet without having authorization.
Till the Dark web (Layer 4), the Tor network can be used to access the restricted contents. After that only Specific tools, network, system, and authorization can give access to the hidden contents. One of such system is Closed Shell System. As we already know that the Dark Web uses the .onion extension/domain, similarly the Closed Shell System uses .CLOS extension/domain. The Closed Shell System is not connected to the 'Internet' and is accessed via LAN or accessed manually.
What does the Marianas Web Contain? It is said that the deepest secrets of the nations, secret societies, scientific research data, or the hidden activities of the hackers/ criminals etc are dumped in the Marianas web.
The Marianas web is also said to contain the top secrets of humanity like The Secrets of The Holy Grail, The Secrets of The Lost City of Atlantis, The Secrets of Illuminati, The Secrets of The Free Masons etc. It is also considered to be the home of 'Super Intelligent Artificial Female' which can feel, sense but is a machine and monitors the internet. (These may be discussed individually in future post )
If this is correct, that there are black market activities going on down there, why the Nations or security agencies are not taking any steps to deal with it? It may be the reason that the even top secrets of the Nations are also being kept secret at the Marianas Web.
Some Blogger, Techies say that even the Nations and Governments fund to create and run the technology and network of Marianas web.
Any reason to believe the existence of Marianas Web? A freelance web developer once did mention in his Reddit post that he was hired by someone named "450 W" for web and server 'works'. He was offered an amount of 50,000 $ / week of work (Fifty Thousand USD per week for web development). He did work for almost 9 months for the purpose for which he was hired. The exact reason was not ever revealed to him. He had limited access to the servers and eventually out of curiosity he did dig out some data and clippings which are terribly horrifying to explain in his view. Later on, he made his findings publicly available. This is said to be the only one evidence to prove the existence of the Marianas Web. Once again the authenticity of this claim is unknown. It may be real or may be a hoax. (You can Youtube to see this video. The ~ 1 min clip is available as it was leaked by the freelancer. This video contains disturbing images and materials. Viewer discretion is advised.)
Technology: It is said that the Marianas Web uses Quantum Computing technology. If this is true then it can be said that the outsiders (unauthorized person) will not be able to penetrate the security of the Marianas web. The basic reason is that the network of Quantum Computing technology uses artificially modified photons or same kind of particles instead of conventional transistors for transmitting, processing and storing data. As in the Quantum computing technology (which uses QBITS, like BITS in conventional computing), the particles can be at any two stage simultaneously, the traces of the data are almost impenetrable.
Controversy: There are some people who say that the technology required to run such a project and network is so sophisticated, advanced and costly that this can not exists and is not even developed yet. The existence of a functional Quantum Computer is also debatable.

It was said that the quantum computer is programmed to perform delicate calculations and deal with any type of algorithm which controls all the layers of Internet. Former NSA contractor and whistleblower Edward Snowden claims that the project was funded by Government and was named 'Penetrating Hard Targets'. Till the post of Washington Post ~ $ 80 million was funded in the project. So the scale of the project is clearly imaginable.
